Today’s update is about the employer notice requirements related to Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Coverage.
If you are an employer that provides prescription drug coverage to employees, their dependents and retirees as part of your employer-sponsored health insurance plan, you must notify all of your Medicare-eligible employees and retirees of their options regarding Medicare Part D prescription drug coverage. Since it is difficult to know for sure who among your employees, their dependents and retirees may be Medicare eligible, we recommend sending this notice to all employees and retirees eligible to enroll in your group plan.
This notification must be sent before the Medicare Part D open enrollment period begins on October 15, 2017. Attached is an overview of the requirements as well as the template notice forms. This notice must be provided annually.

The forms have not changed from last year. Therefore, you may be able to use the notices you created last year.
